New Laptop Advice (GPU and CPU Considerations)

Greetings all,

I have Dell Inspiron E1705 with a T2400 Centrino Duo and an Nvidia 7900GS graphics chip. I use the machine mostly for gaming.

When looking at new models, what GPU should I be looking at for an upgrade to the 7900GS? 8600? 8700? Or do I need to go all the way to 8800?

Any comments, suggestions, thoughts or models to consider?

Get a 8600GT at least or an equivalent card.

The only better mobile GPU out there at the moment is the 8800m so yeah.

Why are you upgrading your laptop so soon? The 7900m series is still very capable.
