I think it looks a lot better than the older Evo's...

WTF is up with the front bumper though? unless they fill that with a huge inter cooler I'm not impressed.

Mitsubishi Concept X: EVO from tomorrow
On the IAA celebrated the study of the Mitsubishi sport-bake premiere. After Tokyos engine show follows now the notchback version of this model, which takes the next as Concept X Lancer EVO, which is to come 2007, in front.

Like already with sport-bake dominates the optics 4.53 meters are enough and of the 1.47 meters high Concept X the aggressive front with the enormous radiator muzzle. Schlitzfoermige headlights lend a sharp view, vergitterte cooling air pits and a deeply lowered spoiler lip to the X signal pure sportyness. This besides by issued fenders, which give width of 1.83 meters to the Concept X, deeply pulled Schweller, a powerful tail apron in diffuser optics with two integrated exhaust final pipes and an oversize tail spoiler on the notchback is underlined. Many body parts made of light alloy are besides the weight low to keep.

The 9x20 tariff of large light alloy wheels, which found their homeland in the wheel housings in a distance of 2.65 meters from each other, carries tires of the dimension 255/35.

Constructing on the new Mitsubishi C-segment-platform, which is to carry also the new Outlander and different Chrysler models, the Concept X has a elektzronisch steered permanent all-wheel drive. The driving power comes from a new light alloy four-cylinder with two litres capacity, turbo-loading and variable valve gear. If this aggregate is to go into series, approximately 300 HP are expected, which are then domestiziert over a double clutch transmission with six drive positions and switching paddles at the steering wheel.

Also otherwise cool sportyness prevails in the Inneraum. Bright aluminum coins/shapes the instrument panel and the center console. Classical round instruments behind a flattened three-spoke steering wheel provide for the information flow to the driver. All four passengers are fixed by suspender belts in running bowl seats. For the maintenance of all passengers provide two LCD screens, which visualize all vehicle specifications in real time and all expirations in the all-wheel drive strand.

Looks HOT! Paddle shifting makes it potientially hot if it makes it in the production version...

Gawd what an ugly car. The only thing it has going for it is the dual exhausts. Dual exhausts imo make any car look bad ass. What the hell is up with the steering wheels that aren't round anymore? Is this to create the illusion of leg room for the driver? And that interior! Just yuck. I can see what they were going for there. A street/strip import that you can buy from the factory ready to go. But I think they could have made it a little more asthetically pleasing without sacrificing any weight. Now the new Eclipse is one beautifal car. The last generation was hideous. I'm glad they took that one back to the late 90's style with the rounded edges.

Looks good overall, but the front looks like a catfish, and the back looks like an angry Chinese guy ;)

The interior is mint. Racing seats for everyone!
