Nifty! Pretty cool that the PowerVR driver team puts out drivers almost every month... and in the case of the big-wigs like ATI and Nvidia we're all usually waiting until the cows come home for their latest revisions. Hope that they keep up the good work after they release the upcoming Kyro 3 card. Currently downloading the newest driver, the link's a little slow, but I'll post back if anything interesting happens with these drivers over the rock-solid 1.00.09.0031 ones I'm currently using.

Neat! These new drivers fixed many of funny glitches I've been having in some games.

- AVP2 no longer has blocky lighting
- Counterstrike doesnt crash when I hit escape.

Now for my GF2 MX...
does anyone know a FIX for the fuzzy loading screen in CS console every time I try to make a LAN game?

Just curious if there are any nvidia readers in here.

Got a 200 mark increase in 3D Mark 2000....2001 gained 80. But most importantly, I haven't found any bugs yet....good work Img. Tech! :)

Cheers

cool. hopefully UT doesnt crash randomly on my computer anymore. for those who still need to download the drivers, be sure to use Download Accelerator or something because downloads with the default OS download manager is slow.

Does the new drivers fix NOLF? I got this pic from digitlife
[]i"As you can see new games bring new problems. It's a pity that prosperity of this card lasts until new games, making us wait for new fixes.[/i]"

Dude, NOLF works fine and has for months. That was an OLD review you saw there. I have the NOLF demo running as smooth and pretty as silk on my bro's Kyro 2 machine. I tried the drivers and they seem fine, but they have the same problem ALL drivers have had thus far. I have to keep going into the registry to permantently turn of "Force Single Buffer" for Quake II. (No, doing it in "3D Optimizations" doesn't work, gotta do the registry.) Maybe I'm just crazy for playing Quake II these days, but I like to, and so does my brother on the rare occassion that he plays anything with his comp. I'd like for PowerVR to fix this very small, but incredibly annyine problem is they are listening.

these drivers still didnt fix my Unreal Tournament crashes. maybe when they said it fixed the crashes to the Unreal engine.. that they were referring to the first Unreal and not UT. oh well. my fault for buying the Kyro chip card to begin with.

Maybe the reason the drivers havn't fixed your UT crashes is because they AREN'T caused by your Kyro?
There are alot more reasons for your pc to crash than video card drivers, why do you think it is your Kyro causing the problem?

Have you tried running your cpu at stock speed for example?

As for UT, that is one of the most computer-strenuous video games out there. It doesn't rely much on the video card. Although, while you do have a nice, fast system, I doubt the problem is related to your Kyro. I have the Kyro II and I have yet to see any problems with UT.

BTW, what happens in the crash, does the screen go blank, or does it just freeze, or what happens?

the game just freezes.. usually during something very intesive during the game like when im about to frag someone with the impact hammer (which causes lots of blood and body parts) or someone or myself is about to fire like 6 rockets at the same time. then if i wait long enough, it will blue screen. once i get back into windows, a message box says that the system just recovered from a critical state, the error says something about the video not being able to display the rendered images and to be sure i have the latest video card drivers. and my computer isnt overclocked right now even though my system profile may say otherwise. before i left for the weekend, i read the kyro faq and changed some bios settings. i havent had a chance to test it but hopefully my UT stops crashing.
