Over the last couple days here in SLC I've seen a new ad from the Kock brothers and for the first 3/4 of it you kind of think they're some progressive outfit talking about the hard time the middle class is having and in contrast to how the wealthy are doing. But, towards then end they pull out the money shot by attempting to lump there desire for lower regulations with helping the middle class.

So, what appears to be an attempt to link themselves with the disgruntled middle class is in reality, just another effort to promote the idea that regulations are what's killing the middle class. Kind of shocking in one sense but par for the course for folks like the Kock's.

Wolf putting on some sheep's closing. Kochs have and will continue to divide this country to serve their personal interests.

The Makers have consistently told the middle class that if they just cut taxes on the richest people in the solar system a little bit more, and let their businesses defraud people who deserve it, while dumping a bit more poison into the air, water and soil, that it'd all trickle down eventually.

Just cut those taxes a liiiittttle bit more and you too will be rich and living in a gated community away from those people.

Also: abortion, burning flags, and Democrats are coming for your guns.

They are getting more aggressive about their branding. I saw one about how they're researching to bring clean water to all which is mighty nice of them since they knowingly or unknowingly contaminated the water.

Look how many billionaires we've added in the last 30 years. Over 10x more.
Do you really think it's fair to go back to a time when workers pay also increased with productivity?

And taxes on rich people were so high!

Think of the billionaires!

Well, without getting too far into the rich versus poor thing the thrust of the ad was that regulations are what's hurting the middle class and if only the stranglehold on business (Koch Industries) was removed then everyone would be sharing in the bounty. I have to wonder is there anyone that doesn't see through this bullshit? Can the right be THAT blind?

It certainly looks like the Koch brothers, though they hate Trump, have nonetheless latched onto some of his schtick and are looking to channel some of the anger into demands from the brainwashed masses to give the poor multinationals a break. How long before we see rallies with working class R's holding signs demanding regulations be eliminated?

Some folks will see that sleight of hand for what it is and marvel at the fact that some others will buy into it wholesale for no other reason than "their side" said it, logic be damned.

It's very much like all of those wonderfully deceptive titles that Repub legislators like to name the bills they pass that seemingly benefit the masses of regular folks that vote them into office yet actually exclusively reward the very few who own their corrupted asses.

The way they were counted. As the site put it:

*1997-2000 count based on top 200 billionaires.

So, during 1997-2000, the count in that graph is the number of billionaires in the U.S who were in the the top 200 billionaires worldwide, not an all-inclusive total of all billionaires in the U.S., which is what the other years do reflect--the total number of billionaires in the U.S., whether they're in the top 200 worldwide or not.

If only we could pollute the rivers and air, the middle class would be saved!

I read up on the Koch Bro's and their incessant push for shedding the shackles of the gov't restricting their free will to make a profit the way they see fit. I mean, they've already got so many of our legislators licking their boots, it makes me wonder just how far do they need to own the gov't for them to be happy with themselves.

That's some real scary shit what those brothers are willing to spend and what they're willing to resort to in their efforts to.......what?
