I have some old keyboard that came with my computer and a Logitech Trackball mouse. I think it's time for me to get a new pair. Should I stay with a trackball? Is it very accurate? If not what's better optical or laser? DPI? Any recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks.

A lot of what you are asking about depends upon personal preference. I can't stand trackballs, but someone else might like them. Also laser or optical being better might depend upon your preference as well--my wife likes a much slower moving mouse than I do. My suggestion is to go to a physical store and feel in the mice and type on the keyboards and see what you like from there.
