New Job for 16 Year Old?

I work at Stop and Shop supermarket. I only make 6.25 an hour and i stock shelves. It is lame. Very lame. I want to get a new job where i make more money and is more fun. Where should i go?

music store is ok. But its not too good. Pizza delivery is awesome thouh. i rode with my freind who does that and he makes 6 an hours plus almost like 10 more an hour in tips. i getting that job when i get my license.

You also get to pay for your own gas, IIRC, and you have to pay for the maintenance, wear/tear incurred upon your car. It's also a fairly dangerous profession.

i do pizza delivery and in C$ you can make anywhere from 5 - 40 /hr.

The pizza Place By me has a 96 Jeep Cherokee they give you. or you can use your own car. No uniform or nothing. Just a T shirt. And i wouldnt be embarresed of Pizza delivery. i be more embarrased stocking shelves at the grocery store

I think a music store is an awesome idea. I know it is stupid but after spending several years working at a drug store I quit and became a car jockey at a Chevrolet dealership. It was just a winter break job, and my father helped me get it because he is the second in charge for the place. Now allow me to defend myself by saying that I did work my arse off there. I constantly came in early, worked late and did tasks well beyond my expected job duties, such as pulling out all the mechanics benches and scrubbing off the 30+ years of grime they had on them. It sucked at times but if the job was handed to me I might as well prove that I was worth it. It payed pretty well, I ended up with a buttload of hours and I drove some really really nice cars....ahgahrhgharhghrhhhrhhghr...z06... Anyways, I really don't think that there is anything wrong with somehow getting your foot in the door of a job by using family ties, expecially if your boss isn't going to be the one in relation to you. Try rich uncles (everybody has atleast one) and the such or family friends. They will be a lot quicker to hire you because they know much more about you then you could ever explain in an application, plus they will probably be more understanding when it comes to hours as well as possibly paying you a bit more too. *bling bling* Have fun!

try some local mom and pop shops. Some might pay well, but if they dont pay well, does not matter. Most are REALLY easy jobs and you can goof off and not get in trouble.

yea but if i go to some random store there will be like 1 other guy there and what am i gonna talk about with a 45 year old guy?

And i dont have any rich uncles. I got an uncle who owns a deli but i cant work at there because there is issues there.

Outback Steakhouse. About 8-9, variable on tip share. Not to mention 50% comp for up to 1 additional person, 33% comp for 2 additional ppl, etc.

Perhaps you should concentrate on your grammar/English work before you consider tacking on extra responsibilities.

Anyways, I work at a nice laid back organic food store. I have a swanky job and I get paid nicely for doing something I enjoy. Go check out a few stores, see if some of the employees look happy (not all will be) and see if you'd like to work there. Bingo-bango.
