new Jasper elite noisy fan rattle

bought an re5 elite jasper and noticed the rear fans making rattling noise
will return/exchange to store (dell), but wondering if this is a common issue?

ps: i've an old pro 20GB (zephyr? no hdmi) that doesn't make any rattling fan noise.
 
That's one annoying issue with the 360, MS uses multiple sources for the fans and DVD drives, so even if Jasper fixed the RRoD you still might have a noisy system. At least the DVD drive is now fixable with install to HD, but if you win the bad fans lottery you're out of luck.
 
Could just be a bad fan bearing, or the blades aren't balanced properly. That's what cause them to rattle. There's a couple things you could do. You could just live with it, or take it in for service. You could also replace the fans yourself but this voids the warranty. There's a kit from some company called Talismoon that sells "quiet" 360 fan replacements. I have no idea how good they are.

Ok thanks - I'm going to call Dell tomorrow to exchange it or get a full refund.
Silly since my 3yrs+ old Zephyr has smoother fans (loud, but not rattling) -
I was tempted to open them and swap the fans, but why risk the warranty?
