Arrgh! I can't get on any of the apple sites about the 10am announcement. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I am working on pooling my money together to get the 15GBer to replace my 10GB.

I love the backlit buttons, On-the-Go playlist editing and the dock.

Wow, I like it. Are the new features (alarm clock, txt reader, games) going to be available to older ipod owners?

Lighter then two CDs is nuts. There's still a hard drive in there, right?

omfg that thing is so sweet...

looks like i can unload my used 5gb windows ipod (it's pretty scrateched up unfortunately) for between 170 and 200 dollars.

i'm seriously conisdering ordering a new 5 gb version right freaking now :)

the big thing for me is being ableto play all those games!!! i get so bored when im waiting in line or whatever. having the option to play three other games besides breakout is just too cool.

i'm a little bit skeptical about the new button layout though. i loved where the >, <, >> and [] buttons were (around the jog-dial)... i may have to order it, try it out and if like it THEN unload my old one....

An elegant, convenient home base for iPod on a desk or connected to a home stereo system, the dock provides syncing via FireWire or USB 2.0*, charging via FireWire and audio line out for connecting to powered speakers or a stereo system.

It needs a wired remote that isn't 6 feet long... :|

That's my only real complaint about my 10GB iPod.

What it really needs is new windows software - they need to ditch the MusicMatch crap!

It would be nice to see them port iTunes to the PC, but I don't think it will ever happen. It's unfortunate, because it really is an awesome piece of software.

I have a hard time seeing this as a meaningful improvement. The button layout looks worse than before - who needed backlit buttons when they were placed in such an intuitive, simple fashion? The clock and games could be useful, but frankly I always have my cell phone and watch handy, so not much of a net gain there. I like the idea of having a docking station, but that is not mission-critical for me. I am not going to unload my existing 10 GB iPod for one of these . . .

Hm, i think it might be time to pick up an old 10 giger depending on how much the price drops. And it'll come with a carrying case too.

So where can I buy this other than apple.com? I don't want to pay sales tax.
