New iPod touch model?

Are there any rumors or info on when the updated iPod touch models may be coming out? I am just making an assumption that eventually iPhone 4 like features will make it to the iPod touch.

IIRC, Apple typically refreshes these in early fall -- after kids go back to college. Typically, they use a "buy a MacBook and get an iPod Touch for free" to clear out the remaining inventory before they announce the new model.

Bigger battery, the display, maybe a camera (maybe even two, if FaceTime makes an appearance). Past that there aren't any bigs that I can think of.

Well, you guys have got me hyped up now. I am hoping for the display and camera(s). Especially the display though.

A4 Chip, Display, Camera (not sure about front facing), longer lasting battery, and of course the Gyroscope. Rumors say ~Sept.

My guess is it'll be typical of Apple and they'll give 80% of the cool stuff, and leave one big thing out.

It'll probably be something stupid like they'll include a facetime camera, but not a regular one or something 😛

Gyroscope has got to be in as it's their gaming platform.

Honestly I'd be very surprised if they put in a camera into the iPod touch at all let alone 2 cameras. I just don't see it happening. Apple would just want people to get the iPhone instead.
