new Iphone 4S issues with the camera app

Sometimes, my camera would be stuck in landscape mode. Like the controls would not be on the bottom, rather, it'll be on its side. exiting and going back in the app doesn't help. had to power the phone off, and back on to back to normal portrait mode. Is there a way to fix this? or is this a setting that got accidentally triggered?

Powering it off may have been overkill. Did you try to kill it from the multitasking/switching menu before restarting the phone.

Could certainly be a bug, but I haven't run into it yet.
