New Intel Motherboard, what do you think?

I'm getting ready to build a server farm with about 12 servers, varying from file servers, coldfusion server, database servers, email servers, etc.

I want to use the same platform for each server.

What do you guys think of this board from Intel?

http://www.intel.com/design/servers/SE7500WV2/index.htm?iid=ipp_srvr_mthrbds+se7500wv2_srvr

It has opts for dual Xeon with 512cache, dual gigabit ethernet, built in ide and scsi raid, etc.

Tell me what you think, because I'm torn between this and a dual Athlon MP board. For stability, AMD or INTEL?

Thanks,

Jason

If you need better 24/7 uptime and don't want to deal with the finicky driver stability issues, then go Intel. That's a nice board you've selected, but I'm sure it will be $$$$$. Depending on the load requirments, you might be able to get away with the less expensive Intel STL2 Motherboards. Those are what I use for servers.

I need the ability to do either ide raid or scsi raid, depending on the application, so this board will be nice. I also need dual gig nics. Will the board you mentioned supply that?? I know intel nics are pretty much the best, so onboard intel nics is nice, especially since I don't have to sacrifice PCI slots for them.
