I thought that I heard that Intel was going to introduce new mobile CPUs around July 15. Is that correct? Exactly which new CPUs are coming out and what are their new features? When will they be available from companies like DELL and Toshiba? Thanks for the help.

I did a little searching and now have a better idea of what I am asking. :) Does anyone know what date the Tualatin 1.2GHz processor will be available for the Dell Inspiron 8000 or any other laptop (maybe Toshiba, etc.) with the GeForce 2 GO? Thanks.

Maybe you could find time line at the intel site.
It sucks that the tuatalin isn't pin compatible with the coppermine. There goes upgrading.

Thanks, I looked on Intel's site and the most specific date I could find was "Second Half 2001." I'll be purchasing a laptop in the next 4 weeks and it would be nice to know if I should wait or buy now.

yes they are supposed to be out on the 15th, new features are mainly a shrink to .13 process, less heat and power consumption, a 133FSB and 512kb L2 cache, all .13 mobile p3`s will have 512kb of L2 cache unlike the dektop ones. :)

if you check on xbitlabs news archive, they had a full listing of those new cpu`s
