Hmmmm....what's an 845MP/MZ???

Damm you got my hopes up.

The PE is newly released and support DDR333

I was hoping the MP was some new unannounced dually chipset but its only a mobile chipset.

What about the original DDR chipset, the i845D?

the I845 and I845D are the same thing. Just one supports DDR ram and one supports SDR. But besides that there the same so yes this supports I845D. Im using it atm and found no problem yet.

I couldn't imagine they would do anything for the very mature BX chipset. The rule of thumb is that if it ain't broke...

When Intel puts out new infs, it's usually just for support of new chipsets such as the new 845PE. Previous chipset drivers are included in the package, but are unchanged.

INF updates don't really do anything for performance. This INF package is no different performance-wise from the one released 5 months ago.

i wonder however if they fixed the problem i am having w/ my ati video card... a 9000,
my comp won't boot if i have the agp driver from those INF's installed... but if i roll it back i have not problems...
i have tried many diff ati driver etc, but they just don't like each other...
oh by the way if i don't have the ati drivers installed it works fine... as well... it is a one or the other deal... rather annoying if you ask me...
