From the Newegg shopping cart:
$59.99 ram
$ 89.99 mobo
$ 10.55 shipping
-$4.56 newegg promo free shipping on mobo
Total: $155.97 shipped

The rest of my system:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7200
EVGA 8800gt Superclocked
Seagate 250gb Sata HDD, WD 80gb IDE HD
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Soundcard
DVD-RW Dual Layer Optical Drive
FSP Group 450w psu (this and my case are next upgrades)

I want to stay CLOSE to this price range and I will be buying these parts tomorrow afternoon so make you suggestions fast fast! Any codes for free shipping for both parts welcome if possible!

Thanks for the recommendation on the case, I had already been looking at those :)

I always say I am going to overlock it but never end up actually doing it :p I was considering these sticks before the G.Skill:

Any specific recommendations?

I just figured for the same price maybe I should bump up to the G.Skill sticks. I thought the higher speed ram the better regardless, how is the DDR2-800 better for that? Just curious.

I have been without my computer due to a mobo failure for a month in case you guys were wondering about the rush to buy! :p

Eh, the ducts are overrated in this day and age. There were useful back during the days when CPU coolers used top down fans. These days, high end coolers are in the form of a tower with heatpipes, and they use a sideways blowing fan. So you'd need to remove the duct anyway because of how tall modern coolers are, and it wouldn't all that useful to being with, since those types of coolers draw in air from the front of the case and direct it out the back. They don't suck in air from the side and blow it downward.

If you look at the newer, modern cases, many of them lack any sort of opening in the side. See the Antec P180/182/190 cases, and the Coolermaster Cosmos for examples.

I went ahead and purchased the two parts I listed in my original post, thanks for the suggestion (singular :p) but I do not expect to do a ton any overclocking to it, at least not for a while.

thanks
