Has anyone installed the newest Intel BIOS (P12) for the 875P boards? I was wondering if it does anything useful/good (or bad) before I installed it to upgrade from my P06.
I tried it on my test rig and it still leaves PAT disabled just like every BIOS since P05 (for more info on this see the huge 875PBZ thread over at Asusboards forums, basically every BIOS since P05 has disabled PAT on this board. It is 100% verifiable using any benchmark utility. There's a bunch of posts regarding this situation within the giant 875 thread. Start with that one then skip ahead to this one, that's where the action starts getting heavy ) but they've done some nice memory optimizations to this BIOS and it has the best memory performance of any BIOS since P05. I've been running it since Friday night to try and break something but it's still running strong. If you don't want to run P05 for some reason I'd give P12 "two big thumbs up".
