New Intel ATA drivers

Anandtech has a newspost from Hothardware relating to a new ATA driver from Intel. They say it works for chipsets ranging from the TX to the 860. Problem is, when I try to install the new driver, I get a message stating that this driver is for 800 chipset based boards only!?! This isn't the first time new Intel ATA drivers are released stating that they work on above-mentionned chipsets, all the time getting the same message. Why am I getting this message? Or is it a mistake on most newsposts that state the drivers to be compatible for all chipsets and all versions of Windows.

EDIT : By the way, my board is an Abit BM6.

You know you can go to Intel directly and check on there web site what the beta ATA drivers are for. I think that there site would have the most info

Which drivers are you trying to install?
One driver set listed is the Chipset Software Installation Utility and it basicly allows Windows to configure detected hardware. The other driver is the Ultra ATA storage driver, it is always installed after the .inf utility. I've never tried installing the latest Intel drivers on older chipsets so I cannot comment how well they work on the old stuff, but try installing the .inf files first if you haven't done so allready.
