New Install of Win 7 can't partition D:

I am wanting to setup Win 7 with 100GB in C drive and the rest in D drive and it does not want to let me. It is a bit confusing. I guess I am going to have to let it install it on C drive with one partition and then go back with disk director and repartition it. This is my first Win7 install.

Did you try to create one partition, C: and then leave the rest unpartitioned, until after the OS installs? Then you can create your other partitions, it has worked for me before.

You shouldn't have issue creating multiple partitions?
One of my tests for fun when I got my netbook was create 4 partitions, then set it up in triple boot of Ubuntu, XP & 7.
