The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. new install of sp2, six instances of svchost.exe

Some service, I suppose. Check in the Services window, in Control Panel, Administrative Tasks, Services.
I use Win2000 now, but I only have 2 svchost.exe in task manager
