X-Bit Labs has got some new information of R420 which goes by the name "Loki". Apparently it should be Two times faster than RADEON 9800

I really dont believe this

Hmm, previous rumors had it as 2-2.5x as fast as a 9700P--I suppose that can translate into 2x as fast as a 9800P.

The part about PS and VS3.0 is somewhat new, but it makes some sense, especially since NV40 is expected to support that.

8x2 or 16x1 has also been bandied about. That seems reasonable, given that R350 is 8x1 and 110M transistors and R420 is rumored to be 200M. But will memory bandwidth be sufficient to properly support such a wide architecture?

150nm, though, is a bit strange. I'd imagine with the apparent success ATi has had with 130nm with RV350 (there are rumors of 98% usable yield hitting Pro speeds, 400MHz) that they'd use it for R420, especially if it's to be a monstrous 200M transistors. OTOH, perhaps it's reasonable if their architecture works well on it, if it'll help heat dissipitation, and if they'll get good prices from foundries discounting that process. I wonder if the power draw would be too much at that process, though.
