New info about Dell Latitude E series?

Does anyone have new info on the Latitude E series (E6500)? They were scheduled for a late June release but with Montevina delays, I'm not sure anymore if I should continue to wait.
When can we expect them or at least read more about E series than those scoops from February?

I'm still on a Dell Latitude D600 from 2003 right now, nearly caved in and bought a XPS M1530, but then decided to wait for something newer and especially more robust.
I need a notebook with a sturdy frame for outdoor work trips.

Intel doesn't release that chipset to manufacture until Aug 5. Add ship time from China.... and you'll be seeing them 5 to 10 days after the 5th......though You can order on the 5th which will be most manufactures official announce date as well.

And yes... they come from china. Dell only does final assembly (drives/memory/etc) here in the US and the planars get built overseas as of Aug 5th.
