Its not altogether a bad idea but it would never happen.

Fantasy football would also be whack which is just as important

Why would it be? Just set the teams that play for that week, just like what you're doing now for Thursday games.

Uh no, you would have to have each match last two weeks so that every team played. You can't expect people to have players for teams that only play each week. That makes zero sense.

This will benefits players and fans alike. You can only watch so many games at once, that means more games watched, more trash talk. The players get to rest, therefore more quality games when they play.

the people that matter don't care about this stuff. you need to stress how much more advertising time you can sell

That could work, but people like seeing their team every weekend.

I would agree if this was the 90s but a significant portion of the population enjoys fantasy football. Doing this would play into that.

Would be interesting as it would mitigate the impact of some of the injuries, give more preparation, ect.

Though I do like seeing my team every sunday and HATE bye weeks.

8 games is not enough to judge the teams to who is eligible for the playoffs. 12 minimum is required to see any separation between teams.

He isn't saying that each team would play 8 games, each team would still play 16 games but over a 32 week season as opposed to 17 week season, game every other week sans the bye week since you have a bye week after every game

The trade off, as mentioned previously, is that you'll get more football throughout the year, players would be more rested and prepared for each game, your game experience will increase because quality will increase. Even injuries may not be season ending, because the players have more time to heal between games.

I don't understand the logic of seeing your team every week and then nothing for 8 (or 10 months in the case of Raiders fans, Dolphins fans, etc...) Vs. seeing your team plays the same amount of games, but give you more time in between for developments, and watch more games throughout the year.

More football, all the time, what's not to like?

MLB & NBA seasons are too long and too many games. The NFL is just right and they shouldn't change it, you look forward to each Sunday during the NFL season and during the offseason you can't wait for the NFL to start up again.

Hell no. The season is too long as it is. If I had my say, they'd go back to a 14 game season with no bye week.

I'd rather see them change the NBA and MLB schedules to 15-20 games per year and have them so that they, along with the NFL, partition the year.
