New HSF for Abit KT7

I need a new fan for my Tai Sol CEK733092 due to me accidently breaking one leg of it, now, three have come off, and I do not want to take four off, leaving two. It is noisy due to it being unbalanced.

I know the CEK733092 fits perfectly, but what about the bigger CGK742092, I may just buy that.

My Questions:

1) Does the CGK742092 fit my motherboard?

2) How do I get rid of the thermal paste already on the CPU? Do I leave it on?

Use some paper towel to get rid of the excess paste. Then take a new sheet oftowel, drip some rubbing alcohol on it and then wipe off all of it. Use a dry section of the paper towel to dry it off.

I need to know what kind of clearance you have, mm X mm.
