Welp if you wanted more power, Acer announced it's Chromebook with a low end Haswell chip. The specs look decent for $250.

But the trade off is it looks like no IPS display and a bit thicker (along with having fans).
Acer also replaced the hard drive with 16GB SSD. But at least they included an SD slot. Not sure what's wrong with HP by not including that.
