Does anyone know what new model Honda is going to produce? I work with this lady who told me that her son (who works for Honda here in Alabama) got to test drive a new Honda model the night before last but he told her that he couldn't say anything about it (NDA); only that it was wrapped up and had no markings (sounds typical). Now he is in Canada talking to a parts manufacturer for the new model, apparently it is going to be made here in Alabama??

Anyone?

new NSX?

The NSX has been discontinued.

hence, the next generation.

I like Honda as much as the next guy, however let's face it the NSX for what it costs is a failure and should never surface back again unless it's price is severely cut down from before.

One of the main reasons why the NSX cost so damn much is the fact that each one is virtually built by hand. Meeting demands was one of the hardest things for Honda to do. If the NSX was a standard production vehicle, it probably would've cost much less.

New NSX

I don't think they would produce that here.

Isn?t Acura a US only brand?

I suppose they could port it over to the European market under the Honda branding.

Either way that looks quite nice. Shame it?s only a concept and the final design will only remotely resemble the exterior you see in those pics.

That's all true, if I wanted a hand built car I would buy me a BMW M model or something not a Honda!
But why did it take Honda so long to figure out why they won't be making much profit out of the whole thing?

Try to be clearer next time. ;)

There was nothing unclear about what he said.

Well, I managed to misinterpret his statement as referring to a new shape NSX, aka the new generation under the NSX nomenclature. It was hardly a conclusive statement.

I dunno, novelty? As much as I love the NSX (it is honestly THE car I would have if I could have any car), I could never see myself buying one at full price.

TBH, it's the car I would love to see myself in if a spanking new one costs 40k but look at the prices for even 2005 used ones, those usually go for 70k easily!
So I am assuming a brand new one retails for 80-90k were almost talking M5 prices there!
But as far as design and all of that I love it, I wish I get the chance to test drive an NSX one day just to see what it feels like to drive a truly high end Honda.

i'm surprised no one has mentioned the new accord, which has already been spotted driving around, all wrapped up. no other model is close enough to production to be on public roads yet.
