I finally got my little car. I have been looking around for this for some while now. Paid $14,596 including TTL on the 04 LX. I think its a pretty sweet deal. I had a similar thread some weeks ago, I was getting a demo 04 for $14,870. I was just about to get it as it had $1000 accessories on it but thanks to you guys, specially Rossman. I passed on the deal and now I got this brand new one for $1700 less than invoice price. Just want to add some nice rims & a spoiler today. The dealer wanted $900 for alloys and $600 for the spoiler.
Just wanted to add that I am a first time buyer and got a loan @5.29% for 5 yrs.

Ok another question should I get the default 15" alloy wheels or can I get 16/17 " ones. What would be the advantages/disadvantages of going in for a different size of wheels than the default factory size.

It looks nicer on 16's ( do they even have 16"? ). Draw back is the tires costs more.
If I were you I'd purchase the Civic SI rims on ebay for like $400 ish on ebay. They usually come with tires, but 15" tires aren't that expensive either.

Good job, I like the new lights and front/rear skirts on the Civics. Anyway, I would get 15" rims for your car. I like the 04 EX alloys the best.

The thing to consider about the rims is the offset... that is, you don't want the wheels to be sticking out of the wheel wells.

And keep in mind factory alloys are $$$$. Your best bet is to find a set used from someone who is upgrading.

now waste your money on useless mods that everyone except for 1% of the population make fun of!

I'll go down to disount tire outlet today. Take a look at what they have to offer. I wanna get it from a store and do it today as I have 150 miles on the tires and in case i have to buy new tires there is a possibility that my existing tires get traded in.

Do the car a favor & forego the spoiler, they look good without them.

Decent (read: tasteful) wheels are OK.

If it's a coupe, it cries out for a spoiler. Sedan looks silly.
You can get both the wing and the wheels cheaper from another place. H And A Accessories sells OEM parts at a discount if you want the factory stuff.

Please make sure the spoiler is less than 4" tall, and is not made out of aluminium (or aluminum for you americans :p)

Thanks

1% of the population is 3 million people. 3,000,000!!!

I have the low profile spoiler on my 97 accord and it looks very nice! Rims are definitely awesome, but dont get them from the dealer, they will rip you off. Ebay is a good place to get them. They are cheap, even if they might be hot ;)

It is a sedan and I need wheels and wings on it.
I have never bought accessories online. How would I install a spoiler if I get it online ?

Agreed.

Also, consider swapping the lugs and lugnuts for some reverse-threaded goodness so idiots have a harder time jacking your wheels.

Oh, and I'm American, and spell it aluminium, but say it aluminum. Pwn.

Wings? This is a feminine hygene product, it's an economy car. Too bad there is no price tag on good taste.

Small, subtle, factory-style spoilers on saloon cars look nice. Compare this to this and you can see what a difference it makes :)

DO NOT GET A GOD DAMNED WING. Sedans look much, MUCH better spoilerless, even compared to OEM install. You're the kind of assbandit that makes the rest of us Civic drivers look bad. :disgust:

Some tasteful 15s or 16s are just fine though - and do like the smart man (isekii) suggested and nab some Si 15"s off eBay from an upgrading ricer.

Unless it's an Eclipse or Evo, nothing can make a Mitsubishi look good. :p

The tire change will just make the car look better. Depending on the tires you get along with it, it could make the ride abit stiffer.

You will end up paying about $2000 in interest, which isn't bad, I guess, but if you add that into the cost of the car, your actual price for the car was about $16,600.

I would take the money you are thinking of spending on add-ons and pay some of that bad boy off.

Ok, now go to your local grocery store, and buy a medium-sized can of Folgers or Maxwell house. Cut a hole in the bottom of the can, and cut off your exhaust tip and weld the can onto it. This will immediately give you 10-15 hp at the wheels. Remember, the darker the roast, the more HP and low-end torque it will produce.

Yikes. Don't put a wing on a sedan. It looks positively awful.
The link I provided gives you installation instructions. You can see if you can handle it, or you would have to take it to a body shop.

Don't forget the Tornado Fuel Saver and a case of NOS-brand Octane Booster.

Yes I will end up paying $1500 on interest if and only if I take 5 yrs to pay back my loan. I intend to knock off my loan in one year and yes I will pay like $370 in interest for that. I just wan't two extras on my car. A spoiler and yes I don't wan't any aluminium spoiler just the one that comes factory fitted. The only reason I don't wan't to get the alloys online in because I don't want to get them without actually seeing them.
