New Honda Accord - base 4 banger turbo or the Hybrid?

This didn't include the '16-'18 models so maybe the Accord got better but when I was looking for a new car I test drove the Accord and Camry. I'd been a long time Civic owner (owned two: an '05 and '11 and was replacing the '05 with 230,000 miles on it) so I was leaning pretty heavily towards an Accord hybrid. After driving both I was sold on the Camry. To me the ride was better, less cabin noise, the finishings felt nicer and the Toyota dealer was much more willing to budge on price. YMMV but it might be worth test driving both

I'd agree. The Accord keeps more "sporty" in its ride, the Camry is more couch-like.

Plenty of people prefer either to the other, so it's probably just a good thing that we have options.

My brother in law has the turbo jobbie (2018 Accord EX) and its quite a nice car. My cousin is a Honda Engineer and we can buy cars directly from Honda at the end/start of each year. They basically have a fleet of vehicles that the engineers drive daily, swapping around each other and such. At the end of the year Honda sells those cars to it's employees and family at a really discounted price. Most members of my family drive a Honda now because of those deals.

I've had the pleasure of driving the s2000 and a bunch of other models over the years. I'm not a Honda guy but the S2000 was a super fun drive.

I'd pick up the turbo model myself since I have driven in the car and can say its a treat.

Agree. I'm beginning to think the Honda's noise cancellation only affects microphones. Tons of reviews keep harping on how quiet the recent Hondas and that the competition is louder, but every Honda I ride/drive in is loud AF. It could also be that the reviewers aren't going their tests at real world (70mph) speeds.

I have a 2015 accord hybrid. Average about 42mpg doing 45 miles per day highway mostly. The only complaint I have is the engine is really loud when the AC is running. It’s not loud inside th car, it on the outside.

I wish I had a 2016 or 17 though, rounded it out a bit more and looks nicer. Don’t care much for the newest design personally.
