Which would you buy?

  • Ubiquiti Unifi 802.11n WAPs w/ seamless wifi roaming (3 of them)

  • Consumer Wifi Routers 802.11ac as WAPs (3 of them)

Keep in mind if you want to do VLAN's, not only do you need a managed vlan aware switch but also SOMETHING that can do layer 3 routing. This can be either a layer 3 capable switch, a high end business router/firewall or the ubiquiti edge router. The cheapest should be the edge router. But without routing, you can't route from one vlan to another.
