I don't *think* so :(

AG is overrated anyway in my book, high end shadow mask is my preferred choice ;)

*Hugs his 21" Samsung*

You can try prising my Diamontron AG picture tube out of my cold dead hands.

Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever see CRT's come back in a big way, which is a sad thing for me and AG tubes are now a rarity in an already rarified market.

CRTs can't come back in a big way because no one is making them. I remember reading the markup was a lot higher on LCDs so all the manufatorers jumped ship on CRT monitors. Only way we might see them return is if the LCD market gets totally saturated.

CRT's are still made, but they really are sort of a niche market now. If you look around you can still find the iiyama 513 for example, although you're definitely gonna be paying a premium for it.

The last AG tubes were discontinued at the end of 2004. You can still get them, but you're pretty much limited to used and refurb ones. http://www.accurateit.com has a wide selection and good support, according to reseller ratings.

I like the picture on the AG CRT's way better than LCD. I wouldn't trade my 22" NEC FE1250 for anything. It's too bad it's 70 lbs and takes up 75% of my desk.

Whats nice about these NEC AGs is the longevity of their image quality. I'm sitting in front of a 1250+ right now......been using it for years and it still looks great compared to the FE2111sb I bought for my home last year.

I bought a 19" Mitsubishi DiamondPro like 10 days before they all disappeared from Newegg's site. I SO regret not shelling out the extra cash for one of the 21" models. I love monitors of this type.
