Hey , im planning to buy a new pair of headsets mainly for internet chat and gaming and came here hoping to get some suggestions about what to buy.

My main needs from the headsets are : it has to be a USB headset ( if there is a pair that is way better on analog i am open to it)
Mic Quality has to be as best as possible ( this is by far the biggest prerequisite )
I do not care for 5.1 surround all that much ( virtual or real ) but obviously most of the USB ones will have this
I don't even care for sound quality all that much if positioning is good

I do have a pair of Sennheiser HD650 + amplifier for music so no problem there

I thought about USB and mic quality because the 2 of them i believe go hand in hand. The mic does not go directly into the sound card and therefore does not get static / broom ( whatever its called ) from all other devices or bad grounding since the signal is transformed to digital and through the USB port
the bad part is i have an ok sound card ( Auzentech X-Fi Forte ) wich would have a good AnalogToDigital converter.
So 90% voice chat / 10% gaming overall

It could also be wireless but iv heard allot of bad things about them ( if someone can guarantee that a certain model works or point me to a good review of one id go for it )
Maybe we can make this a sticky for other people to know

Thanks in advance !

Logitech G35 is great and probably the best USB gaming headset out there. I love mine.

You could buy a USB mic and use your HD650s. Look at Blue Snowball, Blue Yeti, Audio-Technica ATR2500USB, Audio-Technica AT2020USB, and CAD U37. I can vouch for the ATR2500USB, but the other mics listed are popular with people who do podcasts and voice overs for web videos and stuff.

I dont think any headset is going to sound as good as your current headphones, so it might be better to just add a quality mic.
