Just got done putting together my new system. So far so good, but one problem that I think is related to the new HD6950 I got. When my PC goes into sleep mode, the monitors will not power back on (3 @ Dell 2405). It's like there is just no video signal after the PC wakes. I can hear the PC power back on like normal (lights & fan kick in) but nothing on the screens.

My power settings are:

Turn off the Display - After 20 minutes (This works fine)
Put the computer to sleep - After 1 hour
Turn off hard disk - After 1 hour
PCI Express Link State Power Management - Off
USB selective suspend setting - Disabled
Allow hybrid sleep - Off
Hibernate after - Never
Allow wake timers - Disable

Tried all sorts of settings, powering monitors on/off, etc., nothing works so far.

I've got a Asus P8P67 MB. Is there a bios setting somewhere I'm missing maybe? Or do I have a defective card?

possibly drivers or bios. I had a similar problem with intel igp not coming back after sleep. all i could do was set bios to not go s3 but just s1. It worked fine with a dedicated gpu. Oddly the problem fixed itself when i went back to igp after my 9800gtx died.

maybe try driversweeper.

Maybe after you install SP1 , it will be a included fix ? Can only hope.
Service packs do contain many minor glitch fixes and compatibility tweaks.

Hi, not sure if this will fix it, however you have
PCI Express Link State Power Management - Off

I would put this to ON, and then check power management setting in the device manager...If the power management is off, and the PC going to sleep, this may be preventing the GPU to come out of sleep!

I had this same issue with a 5850. I tried EVERYTHING. Strangely enough, I switched dvi inputs and it worked.

Nope, that didn't do anything either. Only options are Off, Moderate Power Savings, or Max Power Savings. Tried them all, no luck.

Try digital connection as suggested post #6!

I've got 3 identical Dell 2405 monitors. I've got my primary hooked up to native DVI. My left monitor is hooked up to VGA with a DVI adapter so that I can watch blu-rays with no HDCP hassles. My right monitor is hokked up with an active DP to DVI adapter, so I can use eyefinity.

So I don't really have many options for reconfiguring these. BTW, the sleep mode problem happens whether I am in eyefinity or standard extended desktop.

Just an FYI for those that are interested. The problem was the "CPU PLL Overvoltage" in my MB Bios (Asus P8P67 Deluxe). That setting needs to be set to disabled and not auto otherwise the monitors won't wake from sleep. Changed that setting and everything works like a charm now.

Nice to see you got it working :)
