I have the Sony XDRF-HD1 and it's a remarkable tuner in almost every way. The only thing I can think of as negatives are it's boot up time (a few seconds), it can run a little hot, and it will lose saved channels on power loss.
The output quality is unrivaled though. It has absolutely zero stereo hiss, even on standard FM channels. As well as zero drifting.
I would be nice if it was in a full length chassis though.. just to fit better in a rack. It's tiny, maybe 9" wide.
