Hi all, I got a question and I cannot seem to find an anwser on the net, or it's not clear.
I want to upgrade. But I want to get PCIe videocards and a Nforce4 SLi motherboard.
I cannot seem to find ANY listing for 6800 GT PCIe videocards anywhere on the internet that you can purchase them. I have also read the articles here on the news page and on Tom's and, though they list them and talk about them as if they were available, I cannot find them anywhere.
Do these video cards exist on the market today?
When are the supposed to be released so that we can purchase them?
I also read with the article today talking about MSI and ASUS being the first to release SLI versions of the Nforce4 motherboards, that's great news, but what does that mean? Are there even Nforce4 boards out there now? When can we expect to really see Nforce4 SLI motherboards on the market where I can go to MWAVE.COM and order me one or search www.pricegrabber.com and find one?
just trying to find some information that seems to be lacking on the internet. I read all these release notes on how nvidia released this and that, but when I got to MSI's website or other's I see no evidence of any of these items even existing.
Reason why I am biting at the bit is because I use a Athlon 2700 now with a 4600 Ultra video card and there are several games coming out (EQ2, Doom 3, World of Warcraft, etc ...) that I want to play, but will be hard pressed to play them at enjoyable levels with the current system. I also want a system that I can keep for a few years hence the reason for PCIe.
I want to get an FX processor, with SLI Nvidia cards (I dislike ATI) and well, frankly I am a tad bit upset with Nvidia for launching these things on paper but we can not find them on the market.
Anyone have dates or roadmaps listing these product releases so i know how long I have to wait
