Everything is compatible yes. I am not a huge fan of that memory, I would use some corsair or OCZ value mem. Nice video card, I am assuming you will be doing some gaming, if so you need more memory!!!!! at least 1GB, for some of the newer titles like BF2 you need 2GB.
 
i have another stick in my current computer which is Geil 400Mhz so its fine... i will be doing some 3d editing and photoshop =]

What kind of 3d editing? CAD?

The only reason I ask is that 3d Game cards (like the X800XL you have listed) aren't the best for modeling environments. I use Autodesk Inventor at work and built a workstation specifically for it, using a nVidia Quadro card. If you don't plan on gaming and instead plan on getting some serious 3D work done, I would look at one of those or an ATI FireGL card instead. Not as good for pixel-pushing gaming, but much better for manipulating and calculating precision 3d models and environments.

I forgot to mention, if you plan on doing a lot of work in this area, I would think you would need at least 1 gig of ram, probably 2. My work computer has 1 gig of corsair value, and sometimes I feel as if I could use a some more than that.

im not planning to do alot of 3d editing its just a hobby, i model cars and stuff when im bored and i play games and im making signatures for forums in Photoshop i think its like:
60% - Gaming
15% - 3DSMax
25% - Photoshop

You'll be fine with the X800XL then. I love the MSI version - many included games, VIVO, and 2 DVI outputs.

I would still recommend some more RAM, however. I am firmly of the opinion that "you can't have too much".


 
If i could il buy 4GB RAM but i have a budget i already have a Geil 256MB and i can buy another Geil 512 or another Crosair 512 but since i think il be better with Dual Channel i decided to go on Geil and i cant afford more than 512 🙁

P.S. can i use Dual Channel if the sticks doesnt have the same amount of MB in them?

Oh ya im buying the MSI too!

Um, yes. I'm pretty sure you can (I have not tried it, so I can not be sure), but I wouldn't recommened it. AMD64s are notoriously picky about RAM.

Edit: I was wrong. You can't use mismatched sizes of RAM.

I would get a dual channel kit of 512MB (2x256) rather than 1 stick (if that is your limit). It won't be that much more expensive, and the performance boost will be competely worth it. In fact, I would even consider getting 1 GB of ram and a X700 or 6600GT - I'm sure you'll see better performance with that combination.

If I'm off here, I'm sure someone will step in and straighten me out.
