I really want to start learning about the P4s and the new chipsets and stuff, but I am so far behind I don't even know where to start!! Does anyone know where to get a really basic guide to the new stuff or an overview of the stuff in lamens terms? I've been to tomshardware.com and the like, but i am still confused.

There's so many places on the Net, it's hard to point you to a specific site unless you've got a specific question. What you might want to do, if you have time, is to scan through the URLs in the Beginners and Hardware sections to see there's a link to what you're looking for.
