New Hardware Buying

Hi, I'm building a new computer, and I'd appreciate any critiques you have on the hardware I'm buying. I'm pretty much going for the best bang for my buck, you think I'm getting a fairly good deal here? It's all coming from Newegg.

NEC Black IDE DVD Burner Model ND-3520A-KIT-BLU - Retail

Total: $700.98 (-$30 mir = $670.98)

I already have a 120 gig ide-ata wd hdd that I think i'll be using, it cost me $100 - $60 mir = $40 which I think is good enough to keep, but it's not too late to return if there's something worthwhile (sata?)
I'm going for the sli mobo and the sli vid card with the intention that in a few years i could just pop in another 6600gt to suit my vid card needs, does that sound like a solid plan? I've bought refurbished stuff from newegg before, but I assume it'll be ok, right?

thanks for you opinions!

Well i've already pricewatched everything and i'm pretty much getting the best price on the components I picked, I'm mostly wondering whether the components I picked are the best for me.

Like the memory for instance. I really know nothing about quality memory, so I'm wondering if there's something better i could get at that price or a bit higher.
