new hardrive formating help

I just got a new ibm 60 gig harddrive and no matter what i do, my freaken computer keeps saying its a 32 gig harddrive. Its formated in fat32 too, can someone please help me out?

What mobo? Bios? What version of windows?

What are you using to format the drive? DOS boot disk? IBM Utility? Doing it from Windows? Where are you reading that size? DOS? Windows? IBM Utility? (plus all the stuff minendo asked )
