I am currently uprading my hard drive from a 320gb, 7200rpm, 3.0Gb/s to a 500gb, 7200rpm, 6.0gb/s and i currently have a 420W power supply. I dont know if you need better power supplies to run a bigger hard drive so do i need a better one or does the one i have good?

No need for a new PSU.
BTW, I hope you don't think you are going to come anywhere near 6 Gb/s let alone 3 Gb/s on these HDs. They are just too slow.

agrees with elixer we live in the age of ssd heck any hard drive looks slow compared to a ssd even my old raptors that blew me away look like dogs kinda sucks but heck i dont mind the advancements in technology but yup no new power supply only gonna need one if your getting a video card perhaps
