New Hard Drive

I've used norton ghost to copy the original drive to this new one, but it refuses to boot from the new one... I get a nice little blinking underline when trying to boot from it, like when DOS is waiting for a command. Do I need to modify the boot.ini?

Also, this drive doesn't seem to have a drive path, and I'm going to unistall the old one physically. will this one pick-up C:\ on it's own... or do I need to do something?

Odd....did you use Ghost to do a partition-to-partition direct copy, or did you copy the entire drive?

It must be run from the same partition, and it also needs to have a operating system loader. I think you should redo the disk copy (disk to disk), and then run only with the new drive. Best would be to have it on the same IDE ribbon as the original one, and in the same config (master or slave)
