New Hard Drive, Stop Error

Hey all,

I just purchased a new hard drive (WD Caviar Black 1.5TB) and installed windows 7 x64. I got it and all my software installed fine... rebooted a handful of times. Now I'm getting a stop error every time after the Windows loading screen.

Error: 0c0000007A Kernel Data Inpage Error

I installed Windows back on an older drive and it works without issues, installed everything no problems. I ran HD tune error scan and it's coming up with around 1% damaged sectors. I can still put files on it and pull files off, but I can't boot to it without blue screen. If I try to repair windows it comes back with a physical drive error.

Is this normal? I thought if a drive had an issue it wasn't just with boot it was with everything. Any help? Am I RMAing this drive to newegg?

Thanks everyone

Andrew
