New hard drive on the way couple questions

Ordered A 200gb seagate going to use it as a storage drive. So all I have to do is set it as slave drive and plug it in right? I'm going to want to move lot's of stuff from my current drive over to the new drive how does this work. Thanks for any help.

Yes that is if you put it on as the 'slave' on the IDE channel (the middle one and not the end connector).

Moving stuff will be fast from drive to drive. When you move stuff from 'partitions WITHIN the same HARD DRIVE' it is quite a bit slower.

Just copy and paste stuff over to your new drive.
