I have 3 hard drives, two of them are IDE and one is SATA. My primary drive with all the system stuff is 250GB and I have a secondary one that is 80GB just for storage. I just purchased a new one thats SATA and I plugged it in and copied everything from my primary drive using Norton Ghost. I'm trying to get it to boot from the new drive but it won't boot because the drive letter isn't C and it's G instead so the file paths don't work. Is there any way to change the drive letter so that it's C and the old one to G? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

Go to Control Panel / Computer Management. There will be a tree on the left pane. Select Disk Management. (Seems like there is a faster way to get there, but I have forgotten.)

Select the partition that you want to change. (You'll need to change C: to something else before changing the new drive to C.) Right click on that partition and a menu will pop up. One of the options will say, "Change Drive Letter & Paths."

That should get you on your way.

That doesn't work if its the system's main drive for booting, but thanks anyways. I've already fixed it by transfering everything over using Seagates Disc Wizard and everything is working just fine.
