My Raptor 150X seems to be "clicking" and will probably fail soon.

I am done with raptors and WD. I know all drives fail but that's 2 raptors in ~2 yrs or so. And I know they will warranty the drive but their warranty on the new drive is an insult.

Anyway, what is the best drive for the OS and games, etc. to run on? I already have a decent amount of storage so this drive doesn't necessarily need to be huge but 'll take a 1TB if the price is right (~$100) and it's fast.

There have been major problems (read: high failure rates) with the 1TB Seagate drives so I would avoid those.

Perhaps a 1TB Samsung F1 drive? Those are fast and I haven't heard complaints of failures...

Personally I love my WD6400AAKS. Been in 24/7 use for over 6 months now with no issues whatsoever. Fast, quiet, cool, stable - what more could you want? Oh yeah - and cheap too, at $70 for 640GB shipped from newegg.
