anyone watching this?

first debate that they actually got to sit down and talk a little

looks like the repubs are embracing the "Change" talk as well now

funniest part was when McCain got a zinger in, after Mitt said he managed change when he owned various companies, and the olymipics and as governor of Mass, then McCain chimed in saying Mitt certainly is the "candidate of change" when it comes to his record, then he giggled like a schoolgirl

Romney and Paul were the only ones that really went with the change aspect.

Romney got banged up pretty good in this debate, by McCain and Thompson. Huckabee skated out scott free.

He did a good job there, and he was the first to speak up, and I think this is a big issue.

Unfortunately for him, in regards to foreign policy, his ideas are so different than everyone else's.

He didn't do a good job with his responses IMO. He didn't bring up the fact he voted against the war in Iraq, even though McCain claimed he was the only one on stage that disagreed with Bush's initial strategy.

And in regards to the "war on terror," he didn't bring up the fact that the CIA agreed with him in regards to why they attacked us on 9/11. He has got to do a better job with these brain-washed Americans, and show that this isn't his opinion, but it's fact. He has to distinguish this. And if I were him I would even question, especially Rudy, if he had read the report given by the CIA in regards to the 9/11 attacks.

Yeah, Romney looked bad, and when he attacks a number of the other guys in the manner in which he has, they're going to gang up on him. They did, and it worked. A big loss for Romney tonight.

Huckabee didn't have any shortfalls that I saw. He's lucky no one is really attacking him for the national sales tax idea, which is just plain retarded.

I just tuned into it. Missed the Republican bit, but I'll be watching all the Democratic debate.

Explain please... what did the CIA say? In a short and brief answer :)

Romney kept saying layoff the personal attacks, but hes so I dont know. McCain and Huck dont have the deep pockets to run TV ad after TV ad to attack him. McCain wasnt really attacking he was just being a cranky old smartass.

Those dastardly fanatical Ron Paul hackers are at it yet again. The facebook poll shows Ron Paul top spot at 41% to their question: which candidate seems the most presidential? Which is really the only poll question they have which allows you to pick your favorite.

Yet when the ABC commentators chimed in their analysis at the end of the debate on TV not a single brief mention of Ron Paul. None whatsoever.

I wished that Ron Paul would've spoken more, but at least he had a seat in this debate. Now at least there's a chance of his idea's spreading among those that rely only on TV.

I kinda smiled when he was able to muster up that small applause even though the audience is supposed to refrain from doing so. :)

I dont understand why they dems are bickering over this "consistency of position" shit. Are they still wounded by the repugs attacks on Kerry. Hillary brought it up, so she really is more of a repug than i thought (i thought she was very much a repug, but now more so). Good ol' Mitt has "flip flopped" on more major issues than all the dems combined, but the repugs (smartly) never even brought it up. If they are going to debate the issues they should do that and not regress to this "youre a 'flip-flopper'" bullshit. Hillary

You see what Hillary did there? She brought Edwards into it when she implied that Obama was misleadingly attacking her and Edwards. By saying that he is doing it both of them, she subtly tries to get some merit. She knows Edwards isn't her problem, but Obama certainly is. She's using Edwards to gang up on Obama without Edwards even saying a damn thing.

You probably have more substance in the cases and cooling section, I would stay there if I was you.

Ron Paul actually appeared coherent in this debate. I even agreed with him on several points.

Actually, I agreed with ALL of the Republican candidates at various points. Every single one said something I found myself nodding in agreement with, at one point or another.

The Democratic debate seems far less energetic. Hillary seems almost lethargic, Richardson unusually slow with responses, Edwards even a bit subdued.

Yeah but it backfired on her when Edwards tore in to her.

Yep and Edwards was smart about it and brought it right around to her face. I love how every time he said "Status Quo" he waved his hand in her direction
