New haircut recommendations?

When it comes to fashion or style I'm definitely not someone who makes keen decisions. Right now my hair is kinda long, and I'm looking to get it cut shorter. Do any of you have any specific hairstyles that work for you, or could work for me? I've included some pics of my current haircut right now. I'm desperate for a new look, and any help will be appreciated. :cookie:

i just use a 1 and buzz it. The higher my hairline has receded, the shorter I cut my hair.

edit: but yeah, the guy above me is right. A good way to pick a hair style is to find something that suits your face.

I think I may have to renew my man card for that comment.
 
My hair grows out flat. Not gifted with the hair gene. The hair on the sides of my head grow out like needles. So I have to keep it shaved on the side with a size 2 or 3 shaver head. Doesn't leave me much options on top.

I'd imagine everybodies head is different. So just give it a whirl while you still have hair and be thankful.
