Triple sli,1.25gb's of memory (mabe 2.5gb versions) and lower priced than a gtx570.

I think they raised the price of the gtx570 and lowered the gtx560ti for this card, I remember the gtx 570 being around 279$AR and a gtx560ti being 230$ few months ago. Now gtx560ti's are about 200$AR and the gtx570 is about 300$. This card will be priced somewhere in between that ,I would guess.

I imagine this card will overclock as well as the gtx465's did - which was the only redeeming quality of the gtx465. And since Fermi scales well with higher clocks, those that get a card with a vendor-made cooling solution should get some really, really great overclocks on it.

Nvidia and their naming department needs to get their head out of their asses. Just call the card a gtx565. gtx560ti 448 is ridiculous. It should be gtx570, gtx565, gtx560, and gtx555. Get rid of the TI moniker.

I think its for marketing purposes , the "gtx560ti" name is very popular.

I would think the bad memories/responses from the gtx465 would kill potential gtx565 448 core sales.

I also expect this card to overclock well, as least past gtx570 performance.
Paired with the right cooling and power usage, this card could be a winner.

Just a note - this is a more accurate bench of real-world multiplayer performance in BF3 than anything put out by the professional reviewers, who only tested the wimpy single-player game and mislead gamers the world over. 55fps at high on this new card sounds good to me.

....

But...this. Seriously, weren't the 260-216 and 460-768 bad enough? Why must they constantly confuse the consumer? Even if they're doing it because of the 465 debacle, that was their own darn fault. That card was an overpriced dog.

Obviously, this card is the GTX565. I wonder how much they paid their marketing gurus to come up with the name 560Ti 448 Cores.

It's done to confuse customers. I often see on tech forums where people already just use GTX 560 when they mean 560ti. I've even seen it on a review chart. It allows the Best Buys of the world to sell 560 (non ti) at a profit to the unsuspecting. It's not unique to nVidia, either.

You'd think this could go the other way too, however. Like when people bought 460-768 and 460SE editions instead of the higher-priced 460. Yeah, sometimes the weaker versions were sold for the same price (a la Best Buy), but usually they are cheaper.

Hey, I didn't even notice that. I get like 80+fps ,so that seems about right.
Good catch.

Anyway, whatever they call it, it seems like a pretty decent card.
