New gtx 580, drivers won't initialize

So I'm putting together a new system, but seeing as I'm still waiting for my 2500k to arrive I went ahead and put the gtx 580 in my old system, as my 280 was toast.

Everything seems to be fine, except for the fact that the nvidia drivers don't seem to initialize, giving an Error 37 Windows Error. Now I had this same problem with my previous card, but that was also hardware related. So I'm basically wondering if this has something to do with Windows or the like or if the card itself is screwed. I tried running Driver Sweeper, but to be honest I have no clue if that even worked as it kept freezing the entire time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Uninstall the driver. Next run driver sweeper and only remove the Nvidia graphics driver and Physx. If it still freezes test it in safe mode. If you cant get it to work in safe mode you could try a fresh install on an extra hard drive. If the problem persists you may want to test another PSU.
