Thanks for a great read - the aluminum-gallium-hydrogen-story sounds almost too good to be true. I hope it will turn out well, though... :)

Awesome! I especially like the third link. Making solar power cheaper and more efficient is music to my ears.

I'm not sure how using aluminum is green. It takes a huge amount of electricity to refine it. So, the overall energy savings might not be that great.

However, it's good that they are trying to find innovative solutions.

It didn't say what the water quality had to be for the Al-Ga reaction. If it could use seawater or brackish water, then a by product would be fresh water vapor. Though, I'll bet the water needs to be pretty pure.
