New Grand Theft Aufo 4 trailer at 3pm EST 12/06

I was looking for a thread on this easily. Glad you made one. I'm REALLY looking forward to this one because it looks like RS has made some progress with the RAGE engine. This is easier my most anticipated game within the next few months.

I just someone hosts the video that not on a site that's blocked by the web filters here at wor.

I hope so, graphically I don't think the videos/screens they've shown this far are very impressive at all.

I hope they do provide at least a solid date in the trailer. We'll see. I don't doubt another delay, but I'd be happy with a Spring timeframe.

I'm ok with delays as long as it means we will have a solid game when the release date finally hits. That is much better than rushing it as we have seen with several recent titles.
 
still no date 🙁

but wow the graphics DEFINITELY got a touchup big time.

i still am bothered by the framerate though.

Wow, looks really awesome but... that framerate... is it capped at 30fps? or is this just a ruse to screw with us?

some of it was definitely below 30fps in the trailer.

rockstar has never been known for steady framerates though. i mean go play any of the gta3 games heh, they have crappy framerates if stuff is actually going on.
 
Hmm... Looks good so far but I wish they included more gameplay and not so many cut scenes.
 
Sweet. Niko is Russian. I know this for sure because some russian dialog is exchanged during the trailer. Plus the song in the background is called King Ring by Seryoga. Woot!!
 
Can we worry about framerate later? The game is still being worked on, guys.

But about the game and the trailer. Man, I can only imagine what the living, breathing world is going to be like. It gets me excited just thinking about taking a detour off of the main story line and discovering a little side-quest; like wanding off in to some alley only to bump in to some knocked up crackwhore who's been beat up by her pimp and asks for your help therefore involking a newly aquired beatdown-of-the-pimp mission which, infact, leads you to a highspeed car chase that ends with the pimp and his car being smashed off the end of the local peer into the ocean burning in it's own gas/oil slick screaming--you know this probably isnt out of the realm of possibility in GTA IV.

It gets me really excited. 🙂
