I am in the process of upgrading my old Athlon 650 with a new Athlon XP 1700+. I have a Retail Radeon 32MB DDR board in there that I bought over a year ago. I really would rather not purchase a new video card until I see what ATI comes out with next (successor to the 8500). The one game I am specifically wondering about is MOH:AA. It ran decently (not great...but decently) at 800x600 on the 650. Am I going to see a big difference with the new Chip?...will I be able to play decently at 1024x768? If anyone has a configuration of any Athlon XP+ and the original Radeon...I would greatly appreciate 3DMark2001 scores or FPS scores in MOH:AA at 1024x768:32bit. I am planning on running WinXP (384MBs RAM, 7200RPM hard drive).

Thanks

You should be able to run it just fine with your 1700+. I have a GF2 GTS-V and it runs all the latest games just fine with my 1700+

No you won't be able to play MoH at 1024x768 unless *maybe* but doubtful you turn all the settings down. I have a 1700+ with an OCed Gainward G3 Ti 200 and it still slows down in the snow levels to 20 fps with all the settings up at that resolution. I don't think you'll see a massive improvement because your vid card is so old.
