New Google search result format is absolutely sickening...

I mean seriously? They think they can just go changing something like this that people rely on every day and expect everyone to go along with it? It's horrid, links are now so big and fat there's like half the content. This is extremely frustrating for me as a system administrator constantly digging through search results for solutions to errors.

Wondering if someone out there is experiencing the same frustration as me and maybe found a fix to revert back? I did find a script for Tampermonkey that puts it somewhat back to normal, but it's still not the same. I'd prefer not to have to run Tampermonkey anyway, I like Chrome with minimal amount of extensions possible.

I got rid of everything Google long ago. Now, Pale Moon is my default browser (replacing FX), and I only use IXquick as my search engine. It does not track, no bloat... and it doesn't erode yr brain by anticipating or imposing.

Very liberating.

I also do not like the way google presents the information but how is it proven that IXQuick does not track and is private?

I don't like the removing the underlining... reminds me of reddit.. just a jumbled mess of text with no dividers which is why I never use reddit.

It's weird, I'll give it that. I think it's funny that, in the age of wide-screen, it will not fill up even half the page now, and much of the first page is 'in-depth' articles on what it thinks you are searching for.

I don't like it, but it will work. Not sure why they had to make the best search engine more time-consuming to use though.

Long ago, I recommended U try IXQuick, I kinda got you liked the I am tracking u, I will read yr mind and choose hyperlinks based on that and yr commercial interests, etc., in Google. Stuff I came to despise tho the speed at which it arrives at all this can be impressive.

I no longer miss what I now see as crap....my little brain is healthier cause it does what it was designed to more, and I am not gettin tracked and not having ISSUES with my search engine.

I tried it. It searched slowed, and it did not seem to save me anything security-wise (tracking cookie count was about the same), so back to the real Google I went.

I kinda thought that. Sigh. See, with me, when I was using Google, I would get tons of tracking cookies. Far more after they started big privacy invasion. Now, I get none. For me, maybe it's just me, IX is fast enough, tho sometimes not as exact and thorough.

Since switching. when I run Superantispy, I get NOTHING. and so, I now only update Superanti (cause I run the free one) and almost never run it. That you get no tracking cookies using Google knocks me out! Perhaps you have it configured more carefully than I did?

But for me, what Google's thoroughness is based on is tracking & privacy invasion.

Again, we R each unique. But, I am still happy U tried it. We Southpaws posed to be open.😎
